There are thousands of Free PLR content as well as Paid PLR Content. I would recommend buying paid versions of PLR, as the quality is much better, and the methods used apply to this day and age.

Most times, the PLR content comes with Email Swipes you can use to build your list. I wouldn't copy the Email Swipe word for word. You must make several changes to the Swipe so that it appears unique.

If you copy it word for word, your email might be red-flagged by Gmail, which means you may not be able to reach users with Gmail accounts. You can also create your own Email Swipes from scratch. If you don't have much experience with email marketing, I would definitely look at the email swipes for ideas.
